Abstract

In his annual letter to chief executives Mr. Fink, Chairman and CEO of BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager with $8.67 trillion in assets under management, warned of the looming climate crisis: “In the past year, people have seen the mounting physical toll of climate change in fires, droughts, flooding and hurricanes”. The CEO continues by stating that “No issue ranks higher than climate change on our lists of priorities”. He promises that BlackRock will work towards becoming a more sustainable company in addition to helping their clients doing the same. So, how does he think that this is going to happen?
