Abstract

This project suggests ways to integrate renewable energies into the Unites States electric grid, without greatly altering the existing infrastructure. Through its creative integration of renewables, Freiburg, Germany has transformed itself into the crown jewel of Germany's commitment to a sustainable future. By using Freiburg as my model, evidence suggests that the United States, with its current infrastructure, has the capacity to greatly surpass what Freiburg and Germany have accomplished.
