Abstract
This thesis demonstrates that the reception history of Thomas Malory’s Morte D’arthur and the televised program Star War Rebels has often drawn condemnation on account of inducing vanité or idleness in their respective audience. This thesis further shows how this stance has become revised by those who champion late medieval romance and a children’s television fantasy program as instructive and entertaining.
