Abstract
This thesis looks at the intersection of religious studies and environmental studies through an investigation on the popular film, Avatar. By examining the 'Land Ethic' as presented by Aldo Leopold, this investigation notices how various religious traditions encounter and discuss nature with spiritual connotations which lends itself to the emerging field of dark green religion.
