Abstract
The topic of invasive species is well known to anyone lightly interested in the natural world. As ecosystems faces new changes, invasive species are a major threat. In my projects I explore the complexity of invasive species and evolution. As both the native and invader can evolve, benefits and difficulties arise in rapid periods of time. The projects confront both misconceptions about invasives and examples of how evolution is creating many new scenarios that the Maine public should know about.
