Abstract
Carbon sequestered and stored in, or released from salt marshes, mangroves, and seagrass ecosystems, is often referred to as coastal “blue carbon.” This additional ecosystem service makes coastal “blue carbon” ecosystems very attractive to the climate change policy and carbon finance communities.
