Description
Remarks by Senator Edmund S. Muskie U.S. Conference of Mayors' Midwinter Conference at L'Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC.
Senator Edmund S. Muskie, D-Maine, said today (Friday) President Ford's budget ignores the crisis in America's cities and goes counter to the needs and desires of the public. "I do not believe that Americans prefer a 'new realism' that forces economies on the weak and vulnerable, but rewards the wealthy and powerful," Muskie said in prepared remarks.
