Abstract
This piece of digital journalism provides an analysis of how climate change induced ocean warming is impacting the long-term sustainability of Maine’s iconic lobster fishery. In recent decades, rapid warming in the Gulf Of Maine has increased lobster landings. Today, however, fishermen and scientists are concerned that further warming will cause a decline in lobster abundance. Such a decline would not only impact fishermen but remove this key economic driver from Maine’s coastal and Island communities.
