Scope and Content Note
Heinz Moser was born in 1923 in Frankfurt am Main to Alfred Moser (1892-1957) and Lilly Moser (1899-1981). His father was a salesman for ads in an industrial newspaper, and lost his job in 1933. The family left Germany on July 10, 1939, and took the ship Scharnhorst to Shanghai. Lilly worked as a shirtmaker. Henry learned the machinist trade at ORT. The family spent several years in the Chaoufoong Road Heim. He later worked for the US Army and Navy. Henry took the Marine Adler to the US in October 1947, and his parents came a few weeks later on the General Gordon, and they lived in Los Angeles. He was a sheet metal worker in the US. In 1953, he married Joyce Lafazan (1931-2023). Henry died in 2021.
